The Neuhof-Ellers plant of K+S KALI GmbH near Fulda in Hesse is the southernmost facility of K+S Aktiengesellschaft in Germany. The main product of the site, which focuses on specialty fertilizers, is Korn-Kali®. Neuhof-Ellers was the first plant in the world to enable dry processing of raw salt using the so-called ESTA process, thereby eliminating saline wastewater. THYSSEN SCHACHTBAU GMBH has been commissioned several times in the past, often in joint venture (ARGE) with Deilmann-Haniel GmbH, by the operator to carry out work in the two shafts Neuhof and Ellers.
