The consortium of mining specialist companies THYSSEN SCHACHTBAU GMBH and Deilmann-Haniel Shaft Sinking GmbH has now secured another contract from the Deutsche Gesellschaft zum Bau und Betrieb von Endlagern für Abfallstoffe mbH (DBE). In addition to the existing contract for the conversion of Shaft 1 at the former iron ore mine – as reported in the 2010 report – the consortium has now also been awarded the contract for the rehabilitation of the Konrad 2 shaft lining and the adjacent shaft-related underground workings.
