Central Shaft Axis Drilling Kochendorf

Ausführungsort

Projektbeschreibung

As part of the planned route for a high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission system for feeding renewable energy, a geological exploration drilling was carried out in Kochendorf. The central shaft axis drilling served to investigate the subsurface at the future location of a utility shaft, through which HVDC cables are to be routed from northern to southern Germany. The drilling, with a final depth of 210 m, was performed using the wireline core drilling method and included geophysical as well as hydrogeological measurements. Several casing strings were installed for geological separation. The project was executed in a joint venture with NORD Bohr und Brunnenbau GmbH.
